to director of hockey operations prior to the 2010-11 season.
Swanson, who spent the past five seasons as UND's
equipment manager, oversees the program's day-to-day hockey operations, including budgeting and spending, travel arrangements
and video analysis and scouting breakdown.
Swanson is a 2002 graduate of UND with a bachelor's degree in business management.
From 1998 to 2002 he was a student manager with the UND men's hockey team.
After graduating from UND, Swanson was the
head equipment manager for the Rockford IceHogs (United Hockey League) in 2002-03 and with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (American
Hockey League) in 2003-2004.
While with Cincinnati, Swanson worked the NHL rookie and pro training camp for the NHL's
Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
Swanson and his wife, Amy, have two sons: Carter (7) and Bronx (four months). |
