2009-10 (Freshman): Received UND's Tom Hoghaug Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded annually to the freshman hockey player who demonstrates "initiative, character and a sense of responsibility" ... Appeared in all 43 games as a freshman and collected three assists ... Recorded his first career point with an assist at Michigan Tech (Nov. 7) ... Has been a plus or even in 34 of his 43 games ... Ranked fourth on the team and led all Sioux freshmen with 87 penalty minutes but had only four penalty minutes in seven WCHA and NCAA playoff games ... Blocked a game-high five shots in NCAA Northeast Region semifinal against Yale (March 27) ... Earned first letter.

Before UND: Selected by Toronto in the seventh round (188th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft ... Spent the past two seasons with Camrose of the AJHL and appeared in the AJHL All-Star Game each season ... Appeared in 57 games in 2008-09 and led all Kodiak defensemen with 21 assists ... Also added eight goals for 29 points ... Ranked second on the team and eighth in the AJHL with 220 penalty minutes ... Added four assists in 11 playoff games ... Captained Team Canada West team to silver medal at 2008 World Junior A Challenge ... Was named to the all-tournament team ... Appeared in 54 games with Camrose in 2007-08 and collected 13 assists and 130 penalty minutes while leading the Kodiaks to an AJHL championship, the team's second straight league title ... Led team to RBC Cup silver medal ... Was named to 2008 AJHL South Division All-Rookie team ... Competed in 2008 AJHL All-Star game ... Helped lead Canada to a gold medal at the 2007 World Junior A Challenge ... Spent the 2006-07 with the Calgary Royals of the Alberta Midget Hockey League and was named team's most valuable player ... Also served as team captain and was named a South Division first-team all-star ... Led Team Alberta to a bronze medal at the 2007 Canada Winter Games ... A graduate of the National Sports Academy at Central Memorial.
