Mark Poolman, ATC, is in his 16th season as the athletic trainer for the Sioux hockey program and also serves as the team's strength and conditioning coordinator.

Poolman is a 1992 graduate of UND with bachelor degrees in physical education and athletic training. Poolman completed his master’s degree in exercise physiology at UND in 1997.

A native of Warren, Minn., Poolman was a three-year letterwinner on the gridiron and served as UND team captain during his senior season. He was also a first-team all-North Central Conference wide receiver for the Fighting Sioux in 1988. 

Poolman still ranks prominently on UND's various career and single-season receiving lists. 

Poolman and his wife, LeAnne, have three sons, Tucker (17), Colton (15) and Mason (8).
