2009-10 (Freshman): Did not appear in any regular season or playoff games ... Made his first appearance in a Fighting Sioux uniform in exhibition game against U.S. Under-20 team ... Earned first letter.

Before UND: Split the 2008-09 season between Sioux Falls and Waterloo of the USHL ... Collected three assists in 22 games with Waterloo before being traded to Sioux Falls ... Added three more assists in 29 games with the Stampede ... Logged 83 penalty minutes in 51 games between the two teams ... Spent the 2007-08 season with Trail of the BCHL and picked up seven assists in 38 games ... In 2006-07, had a goal and three assists in 56 games with Ohio of the USHL ... Also appeared in two games with Green Bay in 2006-07 ... A 2006 graduate of Hermantown (Minn.) High School ... Captained Hermantown to a third-place finish at the 2006 Minnesota Class A state tournament as a senior, earning all-state, all-section and all-conference honors ... Scored 11 goals and 23 assists in 31 gaems during senior year ... Also lettered three times in football and baseball ... Was an all-conference defensive back in football.
